Mike has been involved in competitive athletics for most of his life. Whether playing, coaching, or training, he believes in the value of athletics and competition for strengthening both body and mind.

As a former college football coach (one year), high school coach (ten years head football, two years assistant hockey), a middle/high school teacher for the last 12 years, and a member of the APECS staff since 2006, Mike has spent most of his post-college life teaching in some respect or another. However, Mike sees himself as a “learner” as much as a teacher. In his time at APECS working with owner Jason Shea, Mike says, “I have learned more here, in a short time, about training than I did in all of my previous experience combined.”

At APECS, Mike works with many area high school and college athletes, teams, including football, hockey, and soccer, as well as middle school aged camps and athletes. He thoroughly enjoys what he does and takes pride in watching the athletic growth of those he works with.

When not at work Mike is spending his time with his beautiful family, wife Jane and their children Matt, Jeff, Shannon, John, and Bridget.
